Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Knowles, 74

SALEMBURG Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Knowles, 74 of 2345 N. Salemburg Hwy., died Thursday November 16, 2006 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel-Hill. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 18, 2006 at 3:00 P.M. at Calvary Tabernacle Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Knowles was a native of Sampson County, and the daughter of the late Ralph and Mollie Autry Faircloth. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fermon Knowles; one sister, Martha Ezzell; and two brothers, Louis Faircloth and Ollen Faircloth. Mrs. Knowles is survived by: three sons, Elton Fermon Knowles, Eric Lynn Knowles, and Tony Keith Knowles all of Salemburg; four sisters, Louray Starling and Shirley Carter both of Roseboro, Beatrice Holland of Clinton, and Eleanor Cannady of Newton Grove; one brother, Ralph Burl Faircloth; 3 grandchildren, Brett Alan Knowles, Catherine Ryan Knowles, and Brandon Kyle Knowles, and 1 great-grandchild, Kali Knowles. Family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 until 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
