Mrs. Elizabeth Gray Keene Barnes, 82

ROSEBORO Mrs. Elizabeth Gray Keene Barnes, 82 of 1387 Holden Road, Roseboro, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. The funeral will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. G.C. Hughes, Dr. Tom Fortner and Rev. Tommy Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg. Mrs. Barnes was born on June 20, 1931 in Sampson County to the late John Welton and Mamie Daughtry Keene. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James William Barnes; and one brother, Rufus Keene. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She is survived by: three daughters, Judy Jackson and husband Jimmy of Raleigh, Jennifer Fann Baysden and husband Jesse of Salemburg and Janet Burchette of Georgia; two sons, Jerry Barnes and wife Terri of Roseboro and James Welton "J.W." Barnes and wife Pam of High Point; one brother, Rudell Keene of Clinton; one sister, Peggy Cadaoas of Salemburg; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
