Mrs. Elizabeth Inez Benson, 88

SALEMBURG

Mrs. Elizabeth Inez Benson, 88 of 1000 N. Main Street, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the home of her daughter.

Born on October 2, 1927 in Sampson County, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Senter and Sallie Corinn Lewis Holland. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Benson. She worked as a Supervisor with Top Mode Dress Manufacturing.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Smith and husband Baxter of Garland; grandchildren, Brian Smith and wife Melissa, Amy Assion and husband Mark, Chris Smith and wife Leighanne; and seven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 pm Wednesday at Zoar Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 740 Zoar Church Road, Salemburg. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Reverend Curtis Tatum officiating. Entombment will follow at Salemburg Cemetery.
