Mrs. Elizabeth Gray Averett Kelly, 72

Roseboro Mrs. Elizabeth Gray Averett Kelly, 72, of 611 Huntley School Road, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 11 AM at Salemburg Baptist Church with the Rev. John Adams and Rev. Bobby Tew officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Kelly was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of the late Marvin and Patsy Hobbs Averett. She was a homemaker, a member of Salemburg Baptist Church and a member of the Senior Philathea Class at Salemburg Baptist Church. Mrs. Kelly is survived by: husband George Kelly, of the home; two sons, George Edward Kelly, II. and wife Debra, of Chesapeake, VA and Daniel Kelly and wife Angela, of Raleigh; two daughters, Sheri Smith and husband Joe, of Pensacola, FL and Debra Keen and husband Pete, of Grantham; two brothers, Phillip Averett and wife Peggy, of Myrtle Beach, SC and Marion "Butch" Averette, of Walkerville, Michigan; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday night from 7 till 9 pm at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
