Mr. Elbert Colin Jones, Sr.

FAYETTEVILLE Mr. Elbert Colin Jones, Sr., 77, formerly of Stedman, died Thursday, December 13, 2007 at Bethesda Health Care Facility where he resided. He was a retired self-employed heavy equipment operator. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lambert Franklin Jones and Mary Bell McDuffie Jones; a brother, Hardy Lee Jones; two sisters, Tessie Johnson and Lois Anderson. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 16 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman officiated by Rev. Randall Strickland and Rev. Kenny Jones. Burial will follow at Briar Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. He is survived by two daughters, Pat Jones and husband Randall of Fayetteville and Janice Wilson and husband Ron of Rhoadesville,Va.; three sons, E.C. Jones, Jr. and wife Mary Ann of Stedman, Larry Jones of Stedman and Timmy Jones and wife Sondra of Fayetteville; two brothers, Malcolm Jones of Elizabethtown and Arnold Jones, Sr. of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mary Miles of Lexington and Fannie Putnam of Mooresville; twelve grandchildren, Ashley, Austin, Brooke, Bryce, Zackery, Alex, Sean, Jacob, Apache, Jada, Sierra and Courtney.
