Mr. Elbert Sessoms, 86

GARLAND Mr. Elbert Sessoms, 86 of 6085 Old Mintz Highway, died on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 16, 2011 at Carr's Chapel Freewill Holiness Church with Rev. Billy Bass, Rev. Hampton Faircloth and Rev. Johnny Haney officiating. Burial will follow at the Roseboro Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Sessoms was born on April 19, 1925 in Sampson County to the late Leonard and Dollie Faircloth Sessoms. He is preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Carl Sessoms, Earl Sessoms, Sam Sessoms and Larry Sessoms. He was a Army Veteran of WWII and a retired farmer. He is survived by: his wife, Clara Sessoms of the home; two sisters, Betty Jo Horne of Garland and Willie Joyce Faircloth of Roseboro; his caregiver, Lisa Edge of Roseboro; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
