FAYETTEVILLE
Mrs. Elaine D. Hinson, 64 of 3520 Godwin Circle, died on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at her home.
The funeral will be held on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Sunnyside Presbyterian Church with Rev. Evan Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery in Newton Grove.
Mrs. Hinson was born on December 7, 1946 in Sampson County to the late Earl Laudious and Gladys Hobbs Daughtry. She worked in administration at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville for 34 years.
She is survived by: her husband, Earl Hinson of the home; a daughter, Amy S. Hinson of Greenville; two sons, Jeffrey R. Hinson and wife, Michelle of Wilmington and Wesley E. Hinson and wife, Pam of Wake Forest; one sister, Jane D. Parker of Falcon; two brothers, Earl A. "Tony" Daughtry of Clinton and Jerry D. Daughtry of Dunn; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 12 to 1:45 P.M. at Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, 3997 Sunnyside School Road in Vander, and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Elaine's memory to Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, 3997 Sunnyside School Road, Fayetteville, NC 28312.
