STEDMAN
Mrs. Effie Lucille Culbreth, 94 of 233 First Street, died on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at her home.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, with Rev. Jerry Parson and Rev. Jason Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Roseboro Cemetery.
Mrs. Culbreth was born in Columbus County on January l, 1915, the daughter of the late Elijah Randolf Eubanks and Montreys Hurtle Register Eubanks. She was also predeceased by her husband, Emmit Franklin Culbreth and a son, Paul Wayne Culbreth. She was known for her gifts of handmade garments and baked items. She was mother to five children, but was Mom and Granny to many.
Mrs. Culbreth is survived by: three daughters, Virginia C. Faircloth of Stedman, Janie C. Hobbs of Fayetteville, and Esther C. Faircloth of Roseboro; one son, Emmit Culbreth of Coeur'd Alene, ID; 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren; and special friends, Jennie Kollar, Karen Dobbs and Princess.
The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.
