Edward Tate "Eddie"Royal, 71

AUTRYVILLE

Mr. Edward Tate "Eddie" Royal, 71 of 7375 Autry Highway, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at his home.

The funeral will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, June 18, at Autryville New Life Church of God, 206 E. North Street, Autryville, with Reverend Larry Autry, Reverend Tommy Honeycutt, and Reverend Bryan Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Born February 24, 1946 in Sampson County, he was the son of the late E T and Hazel Johnson Royal. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Pope Royal; and sister, Barbara Gibbons. He was a retired mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Bullard Royal; two step-sons, Donnie Lewis of Autryville, Michael Lewis and wife Beth of Garland; six sisters, Jeanette Williams and husband Charles of Roseboro, Joyce Hoffman of Autryville, Helen Haire and husband James of Stedman; LaNell Ammons and husband Larry of Roseboro, Sylvia Manning and husband Scott of Stedman; Peggy Honeycutt and husband Tommy of Autryville; six step-grandchildren, one step-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 3:45 pm Sunday in the Church Fellowship Hall, and other times at the home.
