Mr. Edna Tyndall Underwood, 87

SALEMBURG Mrs. Edna Tyndall Underwood, 87 of 1030 Old Salemburg Road, died on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Roseboro First Baptist Church with Rev. Hampton Faircloth and Rev. Roger White officiating. Burial will follow at the Salemburg Cemetery. Mrs. Underwood was born in 1923 in Green County to the late James Robert and Lillie Howard Tyndall. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Underwood; one son, Howard Underwood; and one brother, Robert Tyndall. She worked as a Secretary and Teacher's Assistant with Sampson County Public Schools before retiring. She is survived by: one son, Michael Underwood of the home; her daughter, Judy Watts of Salemburg; and one brother, Edward Tyndall of Red Springs. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
