Mrs. Edna G. Mcphail, 74

SALEMBURG Mrs. Edna G. McPhail, 74 of 1368 McPhail Road, died on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at her home. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Allen West officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. McPhail was born on April 23, 1935 in Sampson County to the late Blackman and Eva Owens Hollingsworth, Sr. She is preceded in death by: her husband, Payton McPhail; and one brother, Blackman Hollingsworth, Jr. She worked as a Cosmetologist and was a homemaker. Mrs. McPhail is survived by: one daughter, Joy McPhail of Salemburg; one son, Danny McPhail and wife Kim, of Salemburg; one sister, Dixie Williams of Salemburg; two brothers, Bruce Hollingsworth of Hampstead, and Glenn Hollingsworth of Wilmington; two grandsons, Jared McPhail, and Alex McPhail; and three special friends and caregivers, Brenda Silva, Yvonne Hodges, and Lashonda Rodriguez. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, Roseboro, and other times at the home.
