Edna Gray (Faircloth) Matthews

ROSEBORO

Mrs. Edna Gray Faircloth Matthews, 79 of Roseboro, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

She was born May 1, 1939 in Sampson County and was the daughter of the late Claude and Nellie Gautier Faircloth.  She was a retired Bookkeeper with Paramont Foods working with Piggly Wiggly.

She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Hardman, Sr.; one son, Chris Matthews ( wife, Dana ) of New Bern; and two grandsons, Grant Matthews, and PFC Coye Matthews.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm Thursday, November 29, at Roseboro Cemetery, S. Salemburg Highway, Roseboro, with Reverend Andy Wood officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 2:45pm at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
