Mrs. Edith Elaine (Horne) Hatem, 61 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Duke Hospital in Durham.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman, officiating will be Rev. Franklin Hunt and Rev. Randall Hunt.  Burial will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:50 PM Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Faircloth Horne.  Edith was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Hatem of the home; daughter, Jaime Cockrell & husband, Jonathan of Stedman; son, Jeremy Hatem & wife, Megan of Stedman; father, Leverne Horne; grandchildren, Jevin and Jacey Cockrell and Bryson Hatem; brothers, Bobby Horne & wife, Sheila of Stedman, and Michael Horne & wife, Yvette of Fayetteville; and her fur baby, Rock.
