Mr. Earl Alexander Carter, Sr., 86 of Paisley Florida, and formerly of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 in Tavares, Florida.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the Carter Family Cemetery, Sanderosa Road, Fayetteville, with Rev. Evan Harrison officiating. Burial will be with full military honors.
Mr. Carter was born on January 31, 1929 in Cumberland County to the late Colon A. and Ida Mae Melvin Carter. He retired from the U.S. Navy and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and the Korean Conflict.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Janevie Kadiasang; siblings, Donald C. Carter, Patricia Stanfield and Lula Belle Carter; and great grandson, Brantley Begosh.
He is survived by his children, Cathy Sue Howard of Maryland, Jana Marie Longtine of Washington State, Dawn Renee` Carter of Oregon, Chester Stol Palacios of Florida, Earl Alexander Carter, Jr. of California; siblings, Marie Humphries of Fayetteville, Clarence M. Carter of Fayetteville, Frances C. Auville of West Virginia, Faye Bryant of Fayetteville, Stanley Carter of Fayetteville, Carol G. Carter of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Jamie Begosh, Kevin Begosh, Kelsie Shelley, Zachary Longtine, Micaela Longtine, Dakota Longtine, Colton Longtine, Jacob Alar; great grandchildren, Maddox Begosh, Marley Begosh, Gavin Begosh, Emersyn Begosh.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. Saturday morning at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
