Mr. Earl E. Bain,, 79 Sr.

EASTOVER Mr. Earl E. Bain, Sr., 79, went on to be with the Lord on Monday, November 1, 2010. A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2010 3 p.m. at Lebanon Baptist Church with the Rev. Dougald McLaurin officiating. Earl was born in 1931 to the late Walter Eugene and Mattie Lee Register Bain. He grew up in the Eastover Community and graduated from Central High School in 1949. He worked for 38 years with Big Star Grocery Stores and 26 years as a self-employed commercial and residential lighting consultant dealing in sales and service. In 1954, Earl married Eunice Carroll and they shared 56 years of matrimony. Earl was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church for 52 years. Surviving are his three sons, Earl Eugene Bain, Jr. and wife Yvonne; Donald Trent Bain and wife Sheri; Daniel Carroll Bain and wife Cathy, all of Fayetteville. Six grandchildren; Dr. E. Eugene Bain, III and wife Allison of Buffalo, New York; Brandon Bain of Wilmington, Joshua Bain, Jonathan Bain, Joseph Bain and Courtney Bain all of Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 on Saturday in the church sanctuary before the funeral services at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Golden Club or Bus Fund of Lebanon Baptist Church, 3329 Beard Road, Eastover, NC 28312.
