Mr. Durwood Johnson Hudson, Sr. passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Highland House of Fayetteville.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00pm Friday, September 21, 2018 at Freedom Baptist Church, 2115 Middle Road, Eastover, officiating will be Pastor Paul D. Worley. Burial will follow at Hudson Family Cemetery in Godwin.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Olea Hudson & Hortense Johnson Hudson; and his siblings, Ernest O. Hudson, Alsey H. Hudson, Edwin E. Hudson, Scott T. Hudson and Rachel H. Belmore.

He is survived by his children, Janet McLamb, Vickie Hawley, Durwood J. Hudson, Jr., Simeon Hudson and Timothy Hudson; sister, Edna H. Johnson; 7 grandchildren, Crystal Canady, Season Horne, Joshua Hudson, Brandon McLamb, Nathan McLamb, Stevie Hawley, Jr. and Jason Hawley; and 6 great grandchildren, Kaylee, Brendan & Hayden Hawley, Abigail, Charlotte & Emma McLamb.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 2:50pm Friday at the church prior to the service.
