Mrs. Dorothy B. Warren, 96 of Salemburg went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Bethesda Healthcare Facility in Eastover.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 30 at Salemburg Baptist Church with Rev. Andrew Bolin and Dr. John Roberson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:50 PM at the church prior to the service.

Mrs. Warren was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Beaty Handy and Lenna McLamb Bass.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Rubert Warren; two sisters, Lois Strickland and Mallie Carlisle; two brothers, W. A. Bass and Earl Bass.  She was a homemaker and a member of Salemburg Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Warren Hobbs and husband, John A. Hobbs of Fayetteville; granddaughter, Amanda H. Toner and husband, Scott of Jackson Springs, NC; two great granddaughters, Scotti Toner and Trisha Toner; two sisters, Alma Lee Rowland of Wilmington and Myrtle Wirfs and husband, Gill of Columbia, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, NC.
