Dorothy Loretta Spears, 83 passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel, officiating will be Rev. Tommy Honeycutt. Burial will follow at Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 1:45pm Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Howard Plyler and Pauline Callicutt Plyler; husband, Robert Horace Spears; and sons, Robert and Mark Spears.
She was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church and she retired as a hairdresser, where she worked in Stedman and in Fayetteville.
She is survived by her grandsons, James Howard Spears & wife, Christy of Hope Mills and Mark DeVine & wife, Toni of Corpus Cristi, TX; sister, Shelby Jean Miles of Kannapolis; and great grandchildren, Chad, Norah Grace, Corey, and Brooklyn
Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.
