Mrs. Dorothy Jane Sessoms

Fayetteville Mrs. Dorothy Jane Sessoms, 77, of 1601 Purdue Drive, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 at Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008 at 3:00 p. m. at Peters Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Whitfield and Mr. Hurley Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Sessoms was a native of Cumberland County and the daughter of the late Walter and Rosetta Hicks Byrne. She was a nurses aid before retiring. Mrs. Sessoms is survived by: two daughters, Jane Smith, of Roseboro and Brenda Freeman, of Fayetteville; son, John Richard Sessoms, of Roseboro; tow sisters, Mildred Bullard and Louise Wallace, both of Fayetteville; brother, Jack Byrne, of Fayetteville; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receieve friends Saturday night from 7-9 p. m. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
