ROSEBORO Mrs. Dorothy Virginia Peters Self, 92 of 415 Naylor School Road, died on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 11, 2011 at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow at the Stantonsburg Town Cemetery. Mrs. Self was born on April 25, 1919 in Roanoke County, Virginia, to the late John Edgar and Callie Neighbors Peters. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Charles Guy Self. She was a homemaker. She is survived by: three sons, Raynard John Self and wife, Julean of Roseboro, Maynard Guy "Pete" Self and wife, Helen of Stantonsburg and Robert Lee "Bob" Self and wife, Dottie of Smithfield, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Tammy Lynn Self, Ginger Lynette Taylor, Belinda Wood, Stephanie Williamson, Becky Self, Chris Self and Samantha Parker; eight great grandchildren; and one brother, Raynard Peters of Roanoke, Virginia. The family will receive friends on Friday morning from 10 to 11 A.M. at Central Baptist Church, 6050 Plain View Highway, Dunn, NC 28334. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
