Mrs. Dorothy Lou (Jackson) Thomas, 40 passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman, officiating will be Rev. Steve Horne and Rev. Casey Shipman.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:50 PM Friday at the funeral home before the service.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her daughter, Journey Hope Thomas; grandmothers, Dorothy May White, Mary Lou Jackson and Neva Clevis Horne; and grandfathers, Lonnie Edmond Horne, Burchell M. Jackson, Sr. and Burnis Horne.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, David L. Thomas of the home; daughters, Terra Jackson, Jada Thomas and Kailyn M. Thomas all of Hope Mills; father, Burchel "Bozie" Jackson, Jr. of Hope Mills; mother and step father, Rita Horne Schark & Jason Lee Schark of Parkton; brothers, Burnis "Little Man" Jackson of Parkton, Robert Joey Jackson of Hope Mills; Roger Horne of Parkton and Cameron Jackson; sisters, Eleanor Jackson of Fayetteville, Rita Jean Jackson of Fayetteville, Taylor Jackson of Fayetteville and Traci Lee of Parkton; 11 nieces; and 11 nephews.
