Dorothy (Maddox) Goldsmith

AUTRYVILLE, NC Mrs. Dorothy Maddox Goldsmith, 86 of Autryville, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Mary Gran Nursing Center. She was born November 10, 1932 in Sampson County and was preceded in death by her parents, Burnett and Ida Jane Faircloth Maddox; her husband, Robert Goldsmith; and one daughter, Denise McLamb.  She retired from General Electric in Columbia, Maryland, having worked as a Security Guard. She is survived by two sons, Larry O. McLamb of Pasadena, Maryland, and Jerry H. McLamb of Autryville; three daughters, Geraldine Brown of Baltimore, Maryland, Dorita Cesanaro of Pasadena, Maryland, and Darlene McNeill of Glen Burnie, Maryland; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am Monday, April 1, at Wiley Autry Cemetery, Autryville Road, Autryville, with Reverend Andy Wood officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm Sunday evening at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro. Butler Funeral Home of Roseboro is serving the family.
