Mrs. Doris Jean Felts Sessoms, 73

AUTRYVILLE Mrs. Doris Jean Felts Sessoms, 73 of 1712 Carry Bridge Road, died on Friday, August 12, 2011 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton. The funeral will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Pleasant Union Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Sessoms was born on June 10, 1938 in Lonoke County, Arkansas, to the late Orville and Alberta Carpenter Felts. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Floyd Lee Sessoms. After the death of her parents, she was raised by her aunt and uncle, Myrl and Richard Carpenter. She was a homemaker. She is survived by: one daughter, Vanessa S. Farmer and husband, Alan of Roseboro; four sisters, Karen DeVinney, Frances James and Sherri Webb all of Arkansas, and Glenda Hemphill of Missouri; and two brothers, Benny Carpenter and Doyne Carpenter both of Arkansas. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 7 to 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, and other times at the home.
