Mrs. Doris Ruth Elmore Spell, 80

AUTRYVILLE Mrs. Doris Ruth Elmore Spell, 80 of 4545 Minnie-Hall Road, died on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Autumn Wind Assisted Living in Roseboro. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Halls United Methodist Church with Rev. Carrie Parrish and Rev. Andy Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Spell was born in 1930 in Cumberland County to the late William Lamb and Mary Ruth Nowell Elmore. She worked as an accountant with civil service. She is survived by: her husband, Festus Spell of the home; two daughters, Gail Spell McLamb of Clinton and Loretta Spell Faircloth of Fayetteville; one sister, Tressie Svec of Kernersville; one brother, Bob Elmore of Fayetteville; and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
