Mrs. Doris E. Crumpler, 85

ROSEBORO Mrs. Doris Edwards Crumpler, 85 of 509 North West Railroad Street, died on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Southwood Nursing and Retirement Center in Clinton. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Roseboro First Baptist Church with the Rev. Hampton Faircloth officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg. Mrs. Crumpler was born on October 21, 1924 in Sampson County and was the daughter of the late Charles Edmond and Ila Sessoms Edwards. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pittman Glenn Crumpler. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Crumpler is survived by: her son, Charles Crumpler of Raleigh; one grandchild and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and at other times at 505 North West Railroad Street, Roseboro.
