Mr. Donnie Lee Tatum, 70 of Elizabethtown passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Cape Fear Bladen Health Care.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 22 at Sweet Home Holiness Church with Rev. John Caudle, Rev. Steve Orr, Rev. Glenn Volrath and Rev. Andrew Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davis Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:45 PM on Tuesday at the church prior to the service.

He was born in Robeson County on December 20, 1951 and lived his entire life in Bladen County.  He was the son of Ollie Tatum and Nellie Robinson Tatum.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Tatum Britt and a brother-in-law, Danny Sellers.  He worked in maintenance for 34 years with NC Department of Transportation.  Donnie loved God, his family and his church family.  He was his “brother’s keeper”.

He is survived by three sisters, Hilda Harrell (Clark) of Mount Olive, Brenda Sellers of Elizabethtown and, Donna Graham (Dean) of Rowland; one brother, Timothy Tatum of the home; two nieces, Stephanie Bryant (Spencer), Dara Edwards (Josh); five nephews Brian Britt (Lisa), Jason Britt, Chris Britt (Jennifer), Daniel Sellers, and David Britt; two great nieces, Gracelyn Britt and Sadie Bryant; three great nephews, Christopher Britt, Justin Britt, and James Britt.
