Mr. Donnie Ray Naylor, 71

ROSEBORO Mr. Donnie Ray Naylor, 71 of 430 Mintz Road, Roseboro, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. A graveside service with masonic rites will be held 11:00 am Thursday, October 1 at the Roseboro Cemetery with Reverend Hampton Faircloth officiating. Mr. Naylor was born March 4, 1944 in Mecklenburg County to Walter “Carson” and Frances Mae Smith Naylor. He is preceded in death by his father. He was a member of the Roseboro Masonic Lodge # 585 A.F. & A.M., retired as Principal from Midway Middle School, and was recently inducted into Williams Lake Hall of Fame. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Naylor of the home; daughter, Summerlyn Naylor Faircloth and husband Stephen of Roseboro; mother, Frances Naylor of Roseboro; daughter, Elizabeth Winn and husband Mike of Roseboro; five grandchildren, Jayden and Caroline Winn, Corey, Tyson and Karsyn Faircloth; sister, Betty Jean Giddens and husband Mac of Newton Grove; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday evening at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home of his mother, 501 E. Clinton Street, Roseboro. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that monetary donations be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534. Services by Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
