Mr. Donnie Martin Averitte, 69 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Pleasant Union Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Joshua Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
Mr. Averitte was a native of Cumberland County, the son of Perry and Jennie Lou Hair Averitte. He was preceded in death by his parents; his, daughter, Angela Averitte; and four sisters, Sandy Fetters, Virgina Averitte, Melree Autry and Mary Lois Blackmon.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Wanda Averitte of the home; his son, Chris Averitte of Roseboro; step-son, Brian Hales and wife, Michelle of Hampstead; grandson, Tyler Hales; three granddaughters, Haley Denise Jones, Rosalynn Paige Averitte and Kyndayl Grace Averitte; great-grandson, Wyatt Averitte; two sisters, Susie Cooper of Stedman; and Ruth Stewart of Vander; and his brother, James Averitte of Vander.
Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, NC 28382.
