Mr. Donnie Richard Averitt, 63

Stedman Mr. Donnie Richard Averitt, 63, of 9140 Clinton Road, passed away Tuesday at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman with the Rev. Paul Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow at Autryville Cemetery. Mr. Averitt was a native of Sampson County and the son of the late Thomas W. and Annie Page Averitt. He was a parts clerk with Smith International for 25 years. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas H. Averitt and a sister, Angela Averitt. Mr. Averitt is survived by: wife, Laura Averitt, of the home; two daughters, Stephanie Averitt, of the home and Aimee Peterson, of Clinton; his beloved granddaughter, Maddy Peterson, of Clinton; brother, Ollis "Pete" Averitt, of Roseboro; sister-in-law, Faye Averitt, of Stedman; niece, Melissa Yamamoto. The family will recieve friends Wednesday night from 6 till 8 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
