Donnette (Jackson) Westbrook

ROSEBORO Mrs. Donnette Jackson Westbrook, 72 of Roseboro, went home to be with Jesus and reunited with her husband, Charles, on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at her home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Freedom Baptist Church, 2099 Tyndall Bridge Road, Salemburg, with Reverend John Cuthill and Reverend Donald Keith Carter officiating.  Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the service. Born on July 13, 1949 in Sampson County, she was the daughter of Deemes and Lois Spell Jackson.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Lee Westbrook; and brother, Jerry Jackson.  She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church where she previously served as Choir Director and Organist. She is survived by her daughters, Melissa W. Ballance and husband, Douglas of Roseboro, Michelle W. Smith and husband, David of Faison; brother, Dixon Jackson of Roseboro; grandchildren, Jackson Ballance and wife, Katie, Hannah Smith, and Joseph Ballance; great grandson, Charles Luke Ballance; god-daughter, Jennifer Williams; and special nieces, Jamie Westbrook, Leigh LaFleur.
