SALEMBURG Mr. Donald Ray Williams, 66, of 601 Horsepasture Road, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Sampson Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 7:30 pm at Piney Green Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Keith Carter and Rev. Michael Oliver officiating. Mr. Williams was a native of Sampson County, the son of the late A.D. Williams and was a member of Piney Green Baptist Church. He worked in construction before retiring. Mr. Williams is survived by: wife, Linda Fann Williams, of the home; two daughters, Sheila Ann Williams and Nancy Faye Katsanos, both of Charlotte; three sons, Glenn Ray Williams and wife Tammy and George Marion Williams, both of Salemburg and Donald Howard Williams and wife Shallee, of Eastover; mother, Mary Agnes Honeycutt Williams, of Roseboro; brother, James R. "Jim" Williams, of Dunn; step-sister, Debbie Honeycutt, of Roseboro; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Lauren, Christina and Evan. The family will receive friends after the memorial service at the church and at other times at the home of his son Glenn, 850 Horsepasture Road, Salemburg. In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made to Piney Green Baptist Church, in memory of Donald Ray Williams, 5607 High House Road, Roseboro, NC 28382.
