Donald Glenn Williams, 76 went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 15, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Peters Creek Baptist Church, officiating will be Rev. David Bays.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM Thursday at the church before the service.

Donald is preceded in death by his mother, Ada Naylor Williams; and his brother, Mickey Williams.

He graduated in 1966 from Central High School, was a United States Army Veteran, and he retired with over 17 years of service with Cumberland County Solid Waste.  Donald was known as being a "Jack of all Trades" as he was able to fix anything.  He also loved the mountains, antique shopping, lighthouses, cooking, and he especially loved bread and Pepsi.  He loved his family and he will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 25 years, Joyce Smith Williams; father and step mother, Alvin Washington Williams and Gearldine Williams of Eastover; daughter, Tammy Kennedy & husband, Rob of Fayetteville; granddaughter, Haley Edwards & husband, Matthew of Clinton; great granddaughter, Gracie Edwards; sister, Shirley Murphy of Fayetteville; and a brother, Jerry Williams & wife, Mitsy of Dunn.
