Mr. Donald "Spanky" Ray Carter, Jr., 45 passed away Monday, October 2, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel, officiating will be Pastor Barry Helms. Burial will follow in Bladen Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown.
The family will receive friends from 1:30pm to 3:00pm Sunday at the funeral home before the service and at other times at the home, 604 Boren Brick Rd, Roseboro.
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Carter, Sr.; nephew, Kyle Ray Joyner; and grandparents, David and Mamie Carter, Laverne Smith, Robert and Elaine Dickens.
He is survived by his mother, Wanda Thornton and step-father, Bobby Thornton; sister, Marcia Carter Joyner; brother, Joshua David Carter; nephews, Keith Joyner, Kaleb Carter and Hunter Carter; niece, Kaylan Carter; and uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
