Mr. Donald Eugene Morris,, 72 Sr.

FAYETTEVILLE

Mr. Donald Eugene Morris, Sr., 72, of Fayetteville died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He was a US Army retiree and a Vietnam Vet. He was originally from Waynesboro, PA. He was the son of the late John Morris and Catherine Hamilton Jones. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Maxine Porter; a son, Jeffery Stallings: and grandson, Dakota Morris.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 10 at Bethany Church of God of Prophecy in Stedman with Rev. Jeff Burkhardt and Dr. Randall Cowart officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Friday at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene S. Morris; two sons. Donald Eugene Morris, Jr. and James Stanton Morris, Sr.; one daughter, Aletha Rixon; eight grandchildren, Sarah Neal, Darrell Thomack, Carl Thomack, Jesse Morris, James Morris, Jr., Timothy Thomack, Angelica Morris and Anastasia Morris; five great-grandchildren, and one sister, Dolly Morris.
