CLINTON
Mr. Donald Otto Honeycutt, 75 of 120 Southwood Drive, died on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Allen West and Rev. John McLamb officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Honeycutt was born on June 3, 1935 in Sampson County to the late Almond D. and Wilma Williams Honeycutt. He is preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Lucille Vanderpool Honeycutt; two brothers, Dalton Honeycutt and Daynard Honeycutt; his grandparents, Jeff and Carrie Matthews Williams; and his special aunt and uncle, Walton and Lola Tew Williams. He was a retired Stand Operator with North Carolina Commission for the Blind.
He is survived by: one brother, Darius Honeycutt of Archdale; special cousins, Sybil W. Knowles and family of Roseboro, and Ellen Williams and family of Roseboro; two nephews, Almond Honeycutt of Autryville and Kenneth Ray Honeycutt of Clinton; and his extended family at Mary Gran Nursing Center.
The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 7 to 9 P.M. at Union Grove Baptist Church, 395 Vander Road, Salemburg, and other times at the home of Sybil Knowles, 8044 Dunn Road, Roseboro.
