Mr. Donald Lynn Hester, 62

STEDMAN Mr. Donald Lynn Hester, 62 of 2060 Page Road, Stedman, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 at his home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at Butler Funeral Home, Roseboro, with Reverend Andy Wood and Reverend Bryan Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at the residence in the Norris-Hall Cemetery. He was born on October 1, 1953 in Bladen County and is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Doshie Blackburn and Floyd Hester of Bladen County; sister, Mary Pearl Hall; and brother, Wilber Hester. He was a truck driver for 40 years and worked with Crowell Construction, Autry Grading, Thurmon Trucking, and most recently Highland Paving Company. He loved his job and his family. He is survived by his companion, Katie Norris of the home; his extended family, Eddie and Jessica Norris of Hampstead, Stephanie Norris and Richard Castle of the home, and Adam Norris and Jennifer Williams of Stedman; and grandchildren, Anthony Norris, Joshua Castle, Trey Lewis, BreAnna Norris, Jacob Norris, and Haylee Norris. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 pm Sunday at Butler Funeral Home, Roseboro, and other times at the home. Arrangements are by Butler Funeral Home of Roseboro.
