Mr. Diego Morales, 83

Mr. Diego Morales, 83 of 811 Ford Road, Autryville, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the North Carolina State Veterans Home in Fayetteville.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman. Burial with military honors will follow at Mount Carmel Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery, Autryville.

He was born on June 5, 1931 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, to the late Evaristo and Maxima Reyes Morales. He retired as a Jump Master from the US Army after 20 years of service.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Morales of the home; son, Michael P. Morales of Fayetteville; daughter, Tammy R. Morales of Carrboro; four brothers and four sisters.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 P.M. Saturday afternoon at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman and other times at the home.
