Mr. Dewey Lee Suggs, 73

RAEFORD Mr. Dewey Lee Suggs, 73 of 398 Welsh Road, Raeford, died on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. The funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Pritchard and Rev. Wesley Pritchard officiating. Burial will follow at White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery in White Oak, NC. Mr. Suggs was born on March 28, 1941 in Bladen County to the late Daniel Lloyd and Lena McMillan Suggs. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked with Civil Service. He is survived by two sons, Donald Lee Suggs of Mountain City, Tenn., and Michael Suggs of Raeford; three grandchildren, Brandon Suggs and Porschia Suggs both of Mountain City, Tenn., and Brandy Bickmore of Oklahoma City, OK; three great grandchildren; and five sisters, Ruth Owen of Florida, Margaret Melvin, Marilyn Heath and Joan Hulon all of Fayetteville and Carol Atkins of Mt. Olive. The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 to 1:45 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
