Mrs. Delorese B. Knowles, 70

SALEMBURG Mrs. Delorese Butler Knowles, 70 of 3202 Tyndall Bridge Road, died on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Calvary Tabernacle Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Johnson and Rev. Don Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Knowles was born on June 16, 1939 and was a native of Sampson County. She is preceded in death by her father, William Needam Butler, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Knowles is survived by: her husband, C.T. Knowles of the home; two sons, Hal Knowles and wife, Lynette and Clay Knowles and wife, Tina, both of Salemburg; her mother, MacDonald Maxwell of Salemburg; one sister, Joan Knowles of Salemburg; and three grandchildren, Sydney Knowles, Cameron Knowles and Dylan Knowles. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, and other times at the home of her son: Hal Knowles, 3218 Tyndall Bridge Road, Salemburg.
