Ms. Delois Evon Simmons, 75 passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, officiating will be Rev. Mike Cummings.  The family will receive friends after the memorial service.

Ms. Simmons was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Oliver and Ada Belle Freeman Simmons. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carol L. Brewington. She was an employee of Len-How, Inc. for 30 years. She also worked with MJ Soffee as a Machine Operator and a Floral Designer at Oceana Florist in Apex, NC. She loved to shop on QVC and HSN.

She is survived by her daughter, Dulcie Lee Carter of Morrisville; her son, John Andrew Dalton of Eastover; seven grandchildren, Aaron James Simmons, Bradley Lee Simmons, Chelsea Simmons, Drew Dalton, Brandon Allen Dalton, Belle Nicole Dalton and Oliva McLaurin; her great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Sarah Davis, Glenda Foss and Janice Odom.
