Mrs. Della Clark Mercer, 65

FAYETTEVILLE Mrs. Della Clark Mercer, 65, of 6955 Point East Dr. died Wednesday, June 10 at her home. Mrs. Mercer was born in Colliers, West Virginia, the daughter of the late John Cassidy Clark and Adah Mary Hunter Clark. A retired teacher, she taught in the Cumberland County School System for 34 years. She and her husband have been married for 44 years. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 22, 2009 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fayetteville with Father Anthony DeCandia officating. The family will greet friends at a gathering to be held immediately following the service at the church. Mrs. Mercer is survived by her husband, Lamoine "Bud" Mercer of the home, two daughters, Paige Riddle (husband Bruce, deceased) of Wilmington and Alison Johnson (husband Billy) also of Wilmington; sister, Betty Stattler of Frederick, MD; two grandchildren, Madison Johnson and Jordan Johnson.
