Ms. Debbie Jo Porter, 61 journeyed from her earthly home to her eternal Heavenly home, December 23, 2023. Debbie’s fun loving and witty nature is what most will associate with her name. Her love for the outdoors, nature, gardening and plants is ever so vivid everywhere, but her greatest accomplishments were at her very loved place she called home. Being a devoted mom and nana is what our family will remember most.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with the Reverend Bryan Strickland officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.

Debbie is preceded in death by her father, Samuel (Sammy) Porter and mother, Josephine Strickland Porter.

Debbie leaves behind a sister, Cindy Wood and spouse, Ronnie Wood; and a brother, Sammie Dean Porter and spouse, Linda Porter; her daughter, Joan Sobrevilla and spouse, Eder Sobrevilla; four amazing grandchildren of the home, Savannah Maria Mejia, Leticia Mejia, Joshua Sobervilla and Jacob Sobervilla; her son, Dwayne Stallings, three grandchildren, Brently Register, Tabitha and Isiah Stallings; and her son, Donnie Porter Culbreth and spouse, Mark Culbreth; two granddaughters, Alexis Dill and Kaela Conrad; and six great-grandchildren.

Debbie is and will be sorely missed by all her earthly family and friends. Every time something amusing happens here on earth, we will automatically hear her booming laughter in our souls and know she is still with us. We know she in that Heavenly garden, planting and pruning, making Heaven a much more beautiful place.
