Mr. Darrell Howard Hughes, 53 of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at Carolina Rehabilitation Center of Cumberland.

The funeral will be held at 12:00 Noon Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman, with Reverend Billy Hughes and Daniel Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park, Ramsey Street, Fayetteville.

Mr. Hughes was born October 17, 1962 in Cumberland County and worked as an Electrician. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Helen M. Hernandez.

He is survived by his wife, Tamera Jones Hughes; daughter, Heather Marie Hughes of San Diego, CA; parents, Donald Alvis and Dixie Joyce Horne Hughes of Fayetteville; step-daughter, Katye Lois Nunnery of Fayetteville; step-son, Edward Dewey Nunnery, Sr. of Fayetteville; brothers, Daniel A. Hughes of Burlington, Donald W. Hughes of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren, Christian Hughes, Delilah Hughes, Ava Hughes, Emaleigh Nunnery, Savannah Nunnery, Edward Dewey Nunnery, Jr., Aidan Noah Nunnery, Jeneeta Elaine Laureano; and he was the uncle to nine nieces and nephews, and great uncle to 12 nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be held from 11:00 to 11:45 am Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Butler Funeral Home, Stedman.
