Mr. Danny Edward Strickland went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Union Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Shawn Berryhill officiating. The burial will follow at the church cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 1:50 PM on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Union Grove Baptist Church prior to the service.

Mr. Strickland was a native of Sampson County, the son of Charles Edward Strickland and Peggy Williams Strickland. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Pat Strickland.

Mr. Strickland was a supervisor at Erwin Mills for over 26 years. He also served as the Chief of Clement Fire Department for 5 years and was with the fire department for 30 years. He enjoyed playing golf, watching college sports, and watching his granddaughter play softball.

He is survived by a son, Dan Strickland and wife Whitney; a granddaughter, Danielle Strickland; and a sister, Renee Jackson and husband Dwain and their children, Gage and Blythe.
