Mr. Daniel Gene Maxwell,, 53 Jr.

STEDMAN Mr. Daniel Gene Maxwell, Jr., 53 of Stedman passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Morrison Manor Hospice Home in Laurinburg. The funeral service will be at 4:00 PM Wednesday, July 23 at Sharon Baptist Church with the Rev. Rob Wingo and Dr. Philip Spears officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Danny was a native of Bladen County, the son of the late Daniel Gene Maxwell and Alice Jean Beard Maxwell. He was a certified public accountant with Griffin, Maxwell and Frazelle, PA. Danny was a devoted husband and father. He was always there to support his children from ball coach to band booster. Danny served Sharon Baptist Church as a deacon and treasurer for over 25 years. He was also a faithful Kiwanis member for many years. Danny's compassion and care for others will keep him alive in our memories. His faith, strong will, and determination in the face of adversity will be a testimony for years to come. He is survived by his wife, Linda Maxwell; daughter, Sarah Jackson and her husband, Johnathan; son, Daniel; sisters, Connie Dellinger and Anita Bradshaw; brothers, Glen, Johnny and Greg Maxwell. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, July 22 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Scotland County-Morrison Manor, P. O.
