Daniel “Doc” Gray Dockery, 67 passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Thursday, January 2, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl Dockery and Thelma Edge Dockery; and brothers, Bill and Kirby Dockery.

Doc loved fishing, and hunting.  He was loved by all who knew him, and will be truly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Candee Dockery of the home; children, Nichole Dockery (Bradley James), Savanna Dockery and Daniel Dockery, Jr.; grandchild, Grayson James; brothers, David Dockery, Phillip Dockery, and Randy Edge; and his loving jack Russell companion, Dixie that shared the same birthday with him.
