Mr. D. C. Vinson

FAYETTEVILLE Mr. D.C. Vinson, 81, of 2210 John Hall Rd. died at his home Tuesday, April 15, 2008. He was a retired salesman for American Bakery Co. A native of Cumberland County , he was the son of Edward A. Vinson and Mannie B. Carter. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 18 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park. Mr. Vinson is survived by his wife, Leona Matthews Vinson of the home; two daughters, Faye V. Sherrill and husband Tom of Augusta GA and Connie V. Hall and husband Tommy of Fayetteville; one son, Donovan C. Vinson and wife Cathy of Fayetteville; one sister, Pauline Monroe of Fayetteville; six grandchildren, Jamie Sherrill, Leslie Sherrill, Mary Catherine Chestnut, Carrie Vinson, Matthew Hall and Amanda Faye Hall. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 2 P.M. on the day of the funeral.
