Mr. D. Vernon Schimmel, 63

ROSEBORO Mr. D. Vernon Schimmel, 63 of 57 McPhail Road, Roseboro, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 30, 2015 at Lafayette Memorial Park, Ramsey Street, Fayetteville. Mr. Schimmel was born on May 2, 1951 in Frankfort, Indiana, to the late Doyle Vernon and Gertrude Smith Schimmel, Sr. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Hope Mills. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Schimmel of the home; sons, Chris Schimmel of the home, Guy Schimmel and wife Bonnie of Autryville, Brian Schimmel of the home; grandchildren, Jessica, Samatha, Lindsey, Chloe, Austin; sisters, Mary Ellen Lane of Idaho, Liz Abbott and husband David of Sanford. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro. Arrangements entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
