Mr. Curtis Dwayne Beasley, 75 of Fayetteville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Vander with the Reverend Tommy Honeycutt officiating. The burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park with Fireman’s Honors.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.

Mr. Beasley was a native of Johnston County, the son of James and Velvia Stancil Beasley. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Gayle Jackson; his daughter, Wendy Friend; and his step-son, Christopher Stephens. He was a retired firefighter of 49 years at Vander Fire Department.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Judy B. Beasley of the home; his daughter, Renee Fisher and husband, Gerald of Roseboro; granddaughter, Madison Fisher and fiancé, Will of Roseboro; grandson, Jeffrey Bone of Georgia; step-daughter, Jodie Jones of Shallotte; step-son, Brian Stephens and wife, Melanie of Fayetteville; seven step-grandchildren, Lauren Richards (Blake) of Wendall; Rachel Lonergan (Ryan) of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky; Joshua Jones of Wilmington; Jacob Jones of Fayetteville; Caleb Jones of Shallotte; Kiley Stephens and Savannah Stephens both of Fayetteville; three great-grandchildren, Reid, Remy and Riley; and his beloved little girl, “Sadie”; two brothers, Durwood Beasley (Gayle) of Fayetteville; and Donald Beasley (Kaye) of Atkinson, NC; three sisters, Joyce Powers of Hobbs, New Mexico; Hazel Hall of Roseboro; and Geraldine Vinson (Randle) of Roseboro; and to cherish his memories many nieces and nephews.
