SALEMBURG Cpl. Edwardo Santos, 28 of 4245 Honeycutt Road, died on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Andy Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park in Clinton. Cpl. Santos was born in 1981 in Huntsville, Alabama. He worked as a Sheriff Deputy with Sampson County Sheriff's Department. Cpl. Santos is survived by: his wife, Shannon Strickland Santos of the home; one son, Bryson Reice Santos of the home; his mother, Sara Lopez of Clinton; his father and step-mother, Manuel and Sandra Santos of Yelm, Washington; two sisters, Shirley Trejos of Germany, and Karinna Brown of Fayetteville; and one brother, Yvan Santos of Yelm, Washington. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Old Midway High School, 15375 Spivey's Corner Highway, Dunn. Services are entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
